Out of all the parks, Magic Kingdom is my favorite. Magic Kingdom is laid out like a wheel. The castle is the “hub” & the lands are its “spokes”. I have put the lands in order of which direction I take when I visit the Magic Kingdom.

Main Street USA

This is the very 1st thing you will see after you enter the gates of the Magic Kingdom. All along are shops & eateries for you to enjoy. The neat thing about these shops is that they are all connected. I have gotten lost so many times because I walk in 1 door & end up coming out another door much further down the street than I started. If you get the chance, just wander Main Street. Take in all the sights. Smell all the smells. They take the chocolate chip cookie scent from the bakery through the exhaust fans & blow it out on to the street. Mmmm Mmmm! Disney has done a wonderful job of making this look like a period piece. All of the names on the windows on the “2nd” level of the shops are names of people who have worked for Disney & meant a lot to the company/Disney family. I finally found Walt’s window on my last trip down. Can you find it?

Adventureland

Jungle Cruise – long lines the time we went, but worth seeing once.

Pirates of the Caribbean – definitely 1 of my favorites! Although, we got stuck my 1st time on it. All we had in our head for days was “Dead men tell no tales” over & over!

Swiss Family Treehouse – have only been in it 1 time. Worth seeing at least once

The Enchanted Tiki Room – Under New Management – I was lucky enough to see the old version & the new version. I like them both. A must see for me each time we go

Frontierland

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad – I haven’t been on this yet, but can’t wait to go on it on my next trip!

Country Bear Jamboree – David’s favorite! We always have a good time in here!

Splash Mountain – I loved this! I got a little wet, but it was worth it. I think you might get wetter if you sit in the front.

Tom Sawyers Island – honestly, I haven’t been here yet

Walt Disney World Railroad Station – definitely an enjoyable way to see all of Magic Kingdom

Liberty Square

The Hall of Presidents – to tell you the truth, my 1st time there, I fell asleep. David woke me up in time to see the best part. Worth seeing at least once.

The Haunted Mansion – a definite can’t miss attraction!

Liberty Belle Riverboat – if you have time to kill, this is a nice ride

Fantasyland

Cinderella’s Golden Carousel – who can pass up the chance to ride a carousel? I had a good time on this.

Dumbo the Flying Elephant – I have yet to be on this yet

It’s a Small World – Another of my very favorites. You will have this song in your head for a long time!

Mad Tea Party – have yet to go on this

Pooh’s Adventures – actually quite cute. Worth going on

Peter Pan’s Flight – I liked this one too

Legend of the Lion King – we waited 25 minutes to get in to see this & I wish we had spent that time in another line. In my opinion, definitely skippable.

Snow White’s Adventures – a little scary for the young ones but worth seeing

Ariel’s Grotto – haven’t been here yet

Mickey’s Toontown Fair

Donald’s Boat – haven’t been on this one yet

Mickey’s Country House – a cute walk through

Minnie’s Country House – a cute walk through

Toontown Hall of Fame – I know I’ve been through this, but I can’t remember it

The Barnstormer – haven’t been on this one yet

The Toontown Fair is definitely a place for kids. More so than the other parts of this park.

Tomorrowland

Astro Orbiter – haven’t been on this one yet

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin – my favorite attraction in Tomorrowland!

ExtraTERRORestrial Alien Encounter – definitely a must see!

Tomorrowland Speedway – kinda fun

Space Mountain – if you like roller coasters, you’ll enjoy this

The Timekeeper – I know I’ve been on this, but I can not remember it!

Carousel of Progress – for some reason, this is my absolute favorite attraction.

Tomorrowland Transit Authority – a neat way to see Tomorrowland & the inside of Space Mountain from the air

If you never get the chance to go to Europe, go to Epcot. You will have a very nice European experience without leaving the US. Epcot is split into 2 areas. The 1st is Future World, the 2nd is World Showcase.

Future World

Spaceship Earth – I used to think this was a giant golf ball! An interesting ride

Innoventions East & West – the most technological products available. You can see what the future will bring in these 2 pavilions. I usually walk quickly through these because there are so many kids in here.

The Living Seas

Coral Reef Ride – very cool!

Sea Base Alpha – my favorite part! I could spend all day in the manatee area.

The Land

Living with the Land – I enjoyed this

Circle of Life – haven’t been here yet

Food Rocks – thoroughly enjoyed this show

Journey into Imagination

Journey into Imagination ride – can’t remember this one

Honey I Shrunk the Audience – a must see!! Always enjoyable!

Test Track -I haven’t been able to go on this one yet. The wait time was 75 minutes, so I suggest getting there early. My mother in law went on it & had a good time.

Horizons -I can’t remember this one

Wonders of Life

Cranium Command – haven’t seen this one yet

Body Wars – a lot like Star Tours in MGM. My stomach can handle a roller coaster better than this ride. But David likes it very much

Universe of Energy -This was not something I enjoyed, but if you have the time…

World Showcase

Just over the bridge from Future World is the World Showcase. This features 11 countries. It is definitely an interesting time. The countries it includes are: Canada, United Kingdom, France, Morocco, Japan, United States, Italy, Germany, China, Norway & Mexico. There is a restaurant in each country serving food & drink from their native land. It’s definitely interesting. Make sure you check your Epcot guide for the performance times in each country. I especially liked the street performers in the United Kingdom, the Living Statues in France (a must see!) & the Chinese demonstrations. For the millennium celebration, Disney added the Millennium Village featuring these countries: India, Brasil, Scotland, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Israel, Sweden, Denmark, Lebanon, Peru, Thailand, Egypt, Greece, South Korea & Venezuela.

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror – way too cool!! I love this ride!

Beauty & the Beast Live on Stage – very nice stage show.

Magic of Disney Animation – 40 minute tour that you get to see actual Disney animators at work. I was able to see them working on Tarzan & the upcoming Dinosaur. I really enjoy this walking tour

Voyage of the Little Mermaid – I haven’t been on this one yet

The Making of… - this was pretty interesting

Disney-MGM Studios Backlot Tour – this is a very interesting tour. It’s about 35 minutes in total length. You can’t miss Catastrophe Canyon!

Backstage Pass to 101 Dalmations – this was neat

American Film Institute Showcase – props from movies like Dick Tracy, My Fair Lady, James & the Giant Peach. Very interesting.

The Great Movie Ride – right now, it’s under renovation. But this is a neat ride

Sounds Dangerous – hosted by Drew Cary. Definitely an interesting experience

Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular – always enjoyable! You can see how they made the movie & their stunts. Very cool

Star Tours – this was a lot like Body Wars in the Epcot. Not as rough, but it still made me uncomfortable. But David likes it

Jim Henson’s Muppet Vision 3-D – They really do a great job on all of their 3-D shows! This is great!

Hunchback of Notre Dame – A Musical Adventure – I haven’t been here yet

Honey I Shrunk the Kids Movie Set – this was full of kids, so I avoided it. But if you have kids, this would probably be pretty fun for them!

Doug Rocks! – haven’t been here yet

Safari Village

The Tree of Life – standing 145 feet into the air you can hardly tell this is a man made creation! There are more than 325 animal images carved into the trunk & branches of this beautiful tree. This is the center of Animal Kingdom

The Tree of Life Garden – the walkways lead you to the Tree of Life. But on your way, enjoy the park-like setting. The beautiful grass, trees & vegetation are nice ways to enjoy the winding walk.

It’s Tough To Be A Bug – GREAT show!! Deep inside the Tree of Life. Another 3-D creation by the imagineers at Disney. A truly fabulous show! I hate spiders but I loved this!

Discovery River Boats – I haven’t even seen these yet so I can’t be sure they are up & running

Africa

Kilimanjaro Safaris – 1 of the BEST parts of Animal Kingdom! My very favorite part of all! Make this your very 1st adventure when the park opens. If it gets too hot, the animals don’t come out. You want to be sure to see as many animals as possible. On our last trip, the question “Does Disney import the babies?” was answered for us as we saw the animals taking care of that themselves!! We had about a 5 minute wait during 1 part of the safari because an ostrich couldn’t decide if she wanted to stay in the middle of the road or not.

Gorilla Falls Exploration Trails – this was neat. It’s basically a walking tour. The gorilla’s are beautiful, but sometimes they don’t want to be photographed. There are tons of other things to see besides gorilla’s. The hippo windows are so cool! You can actually see the hippo’s under water! You get to see a family of meerkats – otherwise known as “Timon’s”. It really is a nice walk

Wildlife Express to Conservation Station – nice train ride

Conservation Station - I was kind of bored with this. We didn’t spend a lot of time here. I think the kids would enjoy it though

Asia

Maharajah Jungle Trek – beautiful tigers! This is a walking tour, much like Gorilla Falls. Very enjoyable

Tiger Rapids Run – I haven’t gone on this yet. Not sure if I will or not. I really don’t like things where you get TOTALLY soaked

Flights of Wonder – something I haven’t seen yet

Dinoland USA

The Boneyard – haven’t been here yet

Countdown to Extinction – David wouldn’t talk to me for awhile after we rode this ride. This is definitely not his cup of tea! But I loved it!! This type of ride I love! He can keep Body Wars!

Cretaceous Trail – I don’t remember this

Journey into Jungle Book – this was a good show. Lots of tumblers

Camp Minnie-Mickey

Festival of the Lion King – THE BEST!! You can not miss this show!!

Colors of the Wind, Friends from the Animal Forest – don’t remember this

The legend behind Typhoon Lagoon is that a typhoon hit a tiny resort village many years ago & the storm left the village in ruins. The locals rebuilt their town as best they could. In the very center of Typhoon Lagoon is Mt. Mayday. On top of Mt. Mayday is Miss Tilly. Miss Tilly is a shrimp boat that’s stranded that erupts every ½ hour with a 50 foot flume of water. Very neat. The surf pool is a giant swimming area with 3 million gallons of water in it. Every 90 seconds the walls come crashing into the water making giant waves. It’s very cool! Castaway creek is my favorite aspect of Typhoon Lagoon. Just get into an inner tube & let the current take you away. What a relaxing way to spend the day! There are water slides & white water rides, a shark reef where you can snorkel with the sharks for free! There is an area devoted to those four feet & under with slides, fountains, waterfalls, squirting whales & seals, a mini rapid ride & an interactive tugboat. It’s best to go as early as possible. If they reach their peak number of guests allowed, they will close the gates to newcomers.

A lot like Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach is Florida’s first ski resort. Legend has it that when the temperatures of Florida began to soar, the snow began to melt. The designers were going to close the resort until they saw an alligator sliding down a slope. The ski jump at Blizzard Beach is the worlds tallest (standing at 120 feet) & the worlds fastest (at 60 miles an hour) free fall speed slide. In the center of Blizzard Beach stands Mt. Gushmore and its Summit Plummet. You can get to the top via chairlift. Melt Away Bay is a 1 acre wave pool with gentle waves. Cross Country Creek is a meandering inner tube ride around the park. Again, this is my favorite part! Slush Gusher is a tame double humped water slide topping out at 90 feet. Teamboat Springs is the worlds longest family white water raft ride going down 1,200 feet of rushing waterfalls. There are tons of things to do & see at Blizzard Beach, including a kid size variation featuring miniature versions of Mt. Gushmore’s slides.

I have yet to be to River Country. The 3 times I’ve been down, it’s been closed. But I can tell you a little bit about it anyway. There is Bay Cove, a 330,000 gallon swimming pool. Kiddie Cove is a smaller version of Bay Cove. Upstream Plunge is a large swimming pool with a pair of Slippery Slide Falls water slides that are quite high over the water. You can not see the bottom of the slide from the top. When you hit the water at the bottom, watch out! At Bay Cove there is a rope climb, a ship’s boom for swooping & plunging, 2 flume rides & a white water raft ride.
